There are many coffee shops in Montrose, Colorado, more than you may think. The coffee trader was the first one I tried when moving to Montrose. I love the fact that new ones are popping up all the time.

How do you like your coffee?

I take mine more on the stronger side. Really a medium to dark roast, sometimes I ask them for equal parts in my cup.

Are you a latte drinker?

I have to say my favorite is vanilla. The thing I noticed about coffee in the last 10 years or so is, It's not just a regular cup of coffee. It's more like craft coffee.

Are you a coffee snob?

I guess I am in a way. But there is suitable gas station coffee too. The Sinclair gas station has a tremendous light-to-dark roast. You pick it out and make it too.

This past year in 2022 Jireh Coffee opened on the north end of town. Great breakfast treats too, besides their great coffee. Then Geek Coffee was opened up by L.A. Nails. They have awesome coffee as well. When I have visited other parts of Colorado I always want locally-made coffee places. So much great coffee on the Western Slope. Great places in Grand Junction, Durango, Ouray, Telluride, and beyond.

Enjoy the list I came up with here in Montrose. I've tried them all. Let me know your favorite.
